Benjy won the Under 13 Boys High Jump club championships gold medal with a leap of 1.32m on 20th August 2020. He also jumped 1.35m at the Open Meeting on Friday 7th September 2020.

Proposes to spend £250 award on:

A club iPad for large screen track side internet connection to results services and coaching videos.

June 2020: Janak Subberwal

Won the award for:

On 28/06/20 Janak ran in a Covid secure competition which limited races to 6 runners competing on a knock out basis. Janak reached the semi finals and ran the 9th fastest time out of 62 runners.

Proposes to spend £250 award on:

A variety of new measuring tapes for the long jump and throws, and three new measuring wheels to establish distances.

May 2020: Eric Beale

Won the award for:

On 3rd March 2020 Eric ran 5 x 400m on a 5 minute loop in an average of 77.27 Seconds. On 20th June 2020, Eric repeated the session after his lockdown experience and ran an average of 75.78

New High Jump Stands and 4 Foam Rollers.

April 2020: Greg Sweet

Won the award for:

During the Covid-19 Lockdown, Greg climbed the equivalent of the 8,850 metres high Mount Everest by running up his stairs at home 1,405 times over, seven days, in 12 x 2 hour sessions.

Proposes to spend £250 award on:

Additional sessions on the athletics track to allow more athletes to train in small Covid-19 secure groups.

March 2020: Rafi Brodkin

Won the award for:

Rafi raced the National Cross Country Championships on 22nd February 2020 as part of his come back from long term injury, the the Covid-19 Lockdown arrived and Rafi responded by training.

Sam travelled to Carshalton to compete as a guest in the Surrey County U17 Men's Octathlon Championships which he won with 3,095 points including a Long Jump of 5.36m and High Jump of 1.61m.
