Massive showing at the Big Half
As the mud of the Senior Cross Country fades in the memory and the spikes start to gather dust in cupboards until the autumn the road season starts to swing into action. Sunday saw the Big Half with the course covering a good chunk of the London Marathon course. Again Seyfu produced a stunning run to finish 21st and the first of over 50 Heathsiders taking part. Sara Black also produced a great run to finish 2nd in her Age category. Well done to all who run and those who achieved PB’s. In the Little Half a 2.3 mile race over part of the course Benjy Bediako ran brilliantly to finish 2nd.
The Indoor Season is approaching its climax and Eleanor Ball demonstrated her fine form setting a new club 60m record at the Sutcliffe Indoor 60m at Eltham..
The Junior Cross Country Season doesn’t finish until the end of the month with Inter-County and National Schools Races. Haringey held their Primary Schools Cross Country Championship Race with podium finishes for Ben Redland (2nd) and Elkie Baker (3rd). A great representation of 11 Juniors where picked for their respective County Squads for the National Schools Cross Country Championships in Liverpool. Several more have been picked by Haringey for the National Primary School Cross Country Championships.
Up-coming races the coming thick and fast with more runners needed for the Southern Road Relays in Milton Keynes on Sunday 22nd March. Entries to the re-scheduled Middlesex Masters close soon.

The leap day gave runners an opportunity to run on a date not available for another 40 years. Ally Pally Park Run sadly was called off due to the weather but elsewhere Rosa Serafini was 2nd woman at Hampstead, James Gibson 2nd at Moors Valley and Chiara Borg was 3rd woman at Grovelands,
Congratulations to Priory Park Junior Park Run which celebrated it’s 100th race on Sunday 1st with over 130 runners.
