New Club 5K record for Seyfu, New Year's Day Hyde Park 10K, & Track action at Lee Valley

Pride of place must go to Seyfu Jamaal for breaking the club road 5K record, formerly held by Adam Kirk-Smith, and setting a new mark of 14min 42sec. Jem recorded 15min 11sec, and Heathside not surprisingly recorded a 1-2 in the race. Definitely worth a round of applause !

Moving into the New Year, a number of Heathsiders started their year by taking part in the annual 10K race in Hyde Park (pictured), as Caroline reports

“ 11 Heathsiders celebrated the first day of 2020 by running 10K in Hyde Park.  It was a fresh, cool day, and there were some great times achieved. Alex had a storming run, coming home in 15th place and first Heathsider , followed by Joel Northcott in 43rd place and Sarah Swinhoe in 72nd, (8th woman and 1st FV45) . Tony Chin was 5th V60 and Caroline 2nd FV55. As always a really well organised race, with enthusiastic marshalling and good support all round “
