First Sunday League of the Season - Cheshunt - 20th October

The first fixture of the Sunday League season 2019 – 2020 is on Sunday 20th October at Cheshunt Park 11:00am
Broxbourne Runners welcome you to the first fixture of the 2019 –2020 season on Sunday 20th October 2019, starting at 11:00am. This year Garden City Runners will also be providing Marshall support.
Location: Cheshunt Park, Park Lane, Cheshunt, Herts, EN7 6QD
In order to maintain our good relationship with the local council and the Golf Centre please be mindful of the following:-

There are no changing facilities or showers, but toilets and refreshments are available in the Golf Centre nearby. Only food and drink purchased on site can be consumed on the premises. Dirty shoes are not allowed in the Golf Centre and this applies to all users.

Parking: Providing the ground is not too wet, a field will be available for car parking. Follow the Marshals directions and car share as much as possible. ENTRY IS NOT POSSIBLE UNTIL AFTER 9:30 DUE TO A JUNIOR PARK RUN, so please do not arrive earlier than this.

The course: The course is the same as previous years, three circuits of the park (circa 5 miles). Kit is usually left (unsupervised) at the finish. The start is in the adjacent field.

Please note the following League/UK Athletics race rule:
Headphones: – For safety reasons, runners must not run wearing headphones or other impediments to their hearing. Runners must be able to hear any warnings or guidance given by course marshals or race officials. The Referee can disqualify any athlete who does not comply with this rule.

The Sunday league races are great events, all welcome, all standards. You don't need to book, just turn up and run. Spikes or trail shoes or trainers are all fine (depending on the weather).
