Rob Jackson Trophy 2022 - round 2
The Mornington Chasers 10K in Regent’s Park on Sunday was the second round of the Rob Jackson Trophy.
In the women’s competition Emilia Vynnycky was the first Heathside woman home, followed by Sue Eedle, both winning their age group so picking up Top 3 AG bonus points. This puts Emilia in joint top position with Rebecca Bunting, whilst Sue ties with Annabel Arnold for second place in the competition, just one point down.
With Heathside dominating the men’s race on Sunday, Tom Aldred and Christopher Gracie, both benefited from Top 3 AG bonus points and are now 2 and 3 in the Men’s competition ahead of last month’s leader Paul Beale, but Andy Barnes as the only runner to have completed both events is the competition leader.
The next race in the series is the Serpentine Last Friday 5K (April) on 29th April (Friday lunchtime - make sure you enter the April event), followed by the ever popular Crouch End 10k on 8th May.
This year’s competition will also include a parkrun bonus, which you can qualify for once you have completed at least two races in the Rob Jackson competition. For more details on this please see the club website.
