A transatlantic trophy, Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 10ks & parkruns

It seems the massive effort needed to simply watch world class athletes perform, and the heady business of getting around to various venues in London at the crack of dawn throughout the past week, has caused a bit of a dip in this weekend's racing activities. However, the usual great results from Parkruns remain undimmed, excellent times at the Battersea Park Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcence 10K were achieved and a transatlantic trophy was regained!

Parkruns in London and beyond on Saturday, were well attended by Heathsiders, with  special mention to Rob Salter coming first man in 00.18.11 minutes in the Ally Pally Parkrun, and Daniel Mckeown first man in 00:18:46 in the Hampstead Heath Parkrun. Also on Saturday was the Sri Chinmoy Self Transcendence 10K in Battersea Park, where Dan Madams and Tony Chin both had very good runs. Over near Oxford, on both days at the weekend, at the Horspath Athletics Track,  Adrian Essex was part of Team GB who managed to regain a transatlantic trophy in the GB vs USA decathlon challenge! This challenge is held every 2 years between Masters Athletes, and Adrian’s substantial contribution of 5217 points from various events went a long way towards Team GB regaining their trophy!
