Archer & Serafini smash club records
The past 10 days saw several Heathsiders smashing club records and running big PBs on the track and the road. Perhaps the outstanding results were Thomas Archer’s 8:38 in the 3000, a new club U17 record, and Rosa Serafini’s 4:29 1500, also a club record, both at the Watford Graded Open. Others included Seyfu Jamaal’s 31:04 PB in the Asics London 10k, Sion Lewis’s 16:11 5000m PB in Milton Keynes, Izaiah Turner’s 34.87 javelin PB in Allianz Park and Tynan Parkers U13 800 m 2:24 PB in Kingston.
Asics London 10k, Sunday July 21 (accidentally omitted from Jim's reported up to 22/7)
The mercurial Seyfu Jamaal put in another outstanding performance, clocking a PB of 31:04 in this event. What a fantastic result from the lad!

Danny O’Reilly ran a 33 second PB in this race, clocking an excellent 16:24 – ‘all that track work paying off’, he said.
Derek Crookes U13 Inter-Counties, Kingston, Saturday July 27
Heathside had four juniors representing Middlesex in the annual U13s Inter-Counties match held in Kingston. The only PB was for Tynan Parker in the 800m (2:24.6) but there were several other strong performances.

Watford Graded Open, Wednesday July 24
There were several outstanding Heathside performances here. Rosa Serafini, coming back from a long injury in fine style, set a new club 1500m record of 4:29.79 and Thomas Archer broke his own club U17 record by 1.5 seconds, running a highly impressive 8:38.33 in the 3000m (and only 12 seconds off the senior men’s club record). Bear in mind that Thomas is only in his first of two years as an U17 and is already the seventh fastest nationally in this age group. Another impressive result was Spike Blaks’s 10:05.01 in the 3000 – just 1.5 seconds off Bedo Draskoczy’s club record.
