Buntingford 10, Tempo Winter 10k and a double helping of Parkruns

Not surprisingly there is very little report during this festive weekend, but Rebecca Bunting excelled in the aptly named Buntingford 10 and Dan, Joe and Louisa all improved on their times from last year in the Tempo 10K in Warwickshire. Parkrunning was definitely the popular option, with races on both Boxing Day and Christmas Day and many Heathsiders doing the double.

Buntingford 10, 28/12/15
Henry Hamilton and Rebecca Bunting ran the Buntingford 10 on 28th December in balmy conditions - Rebecca sent in this report: Henry and I ran the brilliantly named Buntingford 10 Mile Road Race on Monday. A beautiful rolling course - a bit like the Watford Half, made even more stunning by the lovely weather. I did the unthinkable - ran with neither iPod nor Garmin and managed a PB! Henry was very pleased with his 2nd fastest time over the distance. Lovely race and organisation, we'd recommend! 

Tempo Events Winter 10K, Warwickshire, 27/12/15
Dan, Joe and Louisa headed off to Warwickshire for the Tempo 10k on Sunday 27th December – Dan wrote: Joe, Louisa and I did the annual post-Christmas trip into Warwickshire for the Tempo Events Winter 10k. All of us were quicker than last year, which was almost as satisfying as feeling my ears go 'pop' on the way up the hill (yes, it's a biggie). As usual, there was a pack of sausages for all entrants at the finish.

Parkruns

There were two sets of Parkruns, with a few hardy Heathsiders running both days. Strangely no one came in first position on Christmas day but Cathy Jeremiah, Alice Hosking, Rebecca Piggott, Rebecca Bunting, Adam Kirk-Smith and Kimon Doulis all came home first men and women in their respective races on Boxing Day.
