Club Road Championships, Junior road races & Inter Borough Challenge
London Heathside 5 Mile Club Champs, Finsbury Park 3/3/19
The inaugural Club 5 Mile road race took place in Finsbury Park,starting with one lap of the track & including 3 times up the hill used in the Parkrun. Seyfu was the comfortable winner, with Joe & Scarlett having a good battle for 2nd and 3rd. Emma was the first lady home, followed by Eilidh and Tatyana.

Junior Road Races
“ The 3 Junior Road Races for U11 runners not eligible for the Mini Marathon then took place. Abraham Lock was the first U7 home in the 500m race with Hettie Fletcher the first girl. The U9’s were next with the race leaving the track for a 1200m loop down to the road and then back up the hill and back onto the track. Louis Briars Coen was the first boy back and Maya Westgate the first girl. The U11 race saw a healthy mix of Heathsiders and visitors from Highgate Harriers. Benjy was the first home registering a time of 3:46 with Kiara Corkin the first girl, she had also run the Highbury Fields Junior Park Run that morning finishing 2nd.”

Inter Borough Challenge and Mini Marathon trials.
“ The club welcomed young runners from across North London with teams from Camden, City of London, Hackney, Haringey, Islington and Newham to compete for an Inter Borough Trophy and hold trials for the London Mini marathon…
The course of 3000m incorporating one lap of the Park. The first U13 home was a VPH&TH runner with Tynan Parker the 1st Heathsider in 7th. Isabella Watkins the first female Heathsider home. The U15 Boys race was won by Theo Machin Pavey (Highgate Harriers) with Bedo Draskoczy 4th and Lorna Dumbleton the first Heathside girl home. The Under 17 race was won by Jonah Kramer of Serpentine AC 5 sec ahead of Lemi Mideska with Elle Nchon of VPH&TH the first woman.
The results meant the London Borough of Camden won the Inter Borough Challenge Trophy.
