British Athletics Cross Challenge (Inc Euro Trials), Liverpool, 27.11.21
The Club had representation at the BA Cross Challenge race in Liverpool at the weekend which as a trial for the European XC Champs in Dublin attracted a stellar field. While the ground was firm the strong winds created a great challenge whipping accross the open expanses of Sefton Park. Beth Hawling produced a great race in the top quality field finishing strongly in 20th place. Thomas Archer and Oliver O'Connor ran in the U20 men's race which started at a crazy pace and there were a number of fallers at the first corner Thomas and Oliver became detatched form the leaders and were unable to make up the difference. Bedo Draskoczy produced a good run to finish 53rd in the U17 mens Race. A great experience for all.

The Fraternity and Sonority Cup, Trent Park, 27.11.21
It was cold, it was windy but that couldn't put off a good representation of Heathsiders at the annual Fraternity and Sonority Cups which were exceptionally well organised by Barnet and Trent Park. This race also doubled as a Chingford League Race and for the Juniors the NWLL.
The Men's race was dominated like so many this season by Highgate however Oliver Newton and Henry Cochrane both stuck to the task and produced top 10 finishes. Charles Hardy and Francesco Melloni were not far behind and the club had 4 home in the top 15 places. The scoring team was completed by Ismail Abukar and Filippo Minelle in 36th and 40th places to secure 3rd place overall.
The womens team was headed home by Genevieve Weston in 17th with Sara Black next. A mystery runner finished 37th just ahead of Ciara Williams in 38th who completed the team which finished a respectable 5th place.

Adrian’s Clean Up at the Track
Adrian reports “A small group of mature Heathsiders (Dad's Army) took part in an event on Tuesday 30th November. The roof of the Finsbury Park building was a mess. Covered in mud, sludge, moss, grass and debirs. It would probably get a bronze medal now for cleanliness.
Those taking part were Carl Heap, Pete Crockford, Chris Hartley and Adrian Essex
Some pictures of before , during and after.”
