Wins for Heathsiders at Tooting 24hr, Haringey Schools X Country, and Winchester Half

There was a win for England Ultra distance international Michael Stocks by a handy 2km ahead of the second placed athlete and whole 26km in front of third, in the 24HR race at Tooting, an amazing effort made even more difficult by the heavy rain.

Jane Stephens  posted ;

"..the weather was appalling making it rather horrible for everyone. I was lucky to be crewing with Rob (Shulman) and his wife Helen along with Michael’s coach and his wife. They were amazing and selfless through the long hours in the cold and wet when we thought the race would never end!”

Veterans AC 10000m Championships, Battersea Park, 21/9/18

Pete Crockford was very happy with his time, and another club age group V60 record, especially given the wind and having to run 21 laps on his own. He reports

“Picked up a MV60 silver and another club age group record on a very windy evening, starting in sunshine and finishing under the lights. Complete with timing chips, which was a bit of a novelty for a track race! I think idea was they’d be able to give us splits for each of our 25 laps, which would be interesting- but not forthcoming as yet. “
