London Heathside - COVID-19 - Club Update
Club Chairman Jerry Odlin has issued an update statement:-
As we are all discovering the situation around us is changing daily. I won’t repeat all the government advice, I’m sure you’ve seen it a million times but to emphasise, group activities are definitely a no no.
EA are advising that there should be no club activity until the end of April. In truth I can’t see any relaxation of this till the end of May or mid June at the earliest. It is unlikely that any competitions will take place before late July or even August. I hope I’m being over pessimistic.
With this in mind I’ve asked our coaches to offer their advice on how best to handle this. You may have connected already but in general it’s like you have to press a reset button and no matter what event you do, consider that your training schedule should be as if you were in mid winter. All this base work will pay off for sure once we can hit the go button again.
Stay in touch, be safe and act responsibly.”
The Junior Coaches have already sent emails with some suggested exercises and will continue to do so including some for indoors.
All competitions have been cancelled or postponed for April and now May events including the County Championships have also been cancelled. Please check fixture lists for updates of club events.
