General Prague half marathon, 5th April 2025

Four Heathsiders were in Prague last Sunday for the half marathon.  Congratulations to all 4 Heathsiders and especially to Monika Newton who was first in her age category and also set a PB.  Here is Monika’s report:

“I completed my first superhalf in Prague on Saturday, April 5th, and I had a great time!   I went into the race without any expectations since my training had been a bit disrupted (I have hernia surgery scheduled for Friday, April 11th), so I had to adjust my training, especially my strength and conditioning.

But I'm thrilled to say that I somehow managed to get  a PB at 1:28:22, finished in the top 1% of female runners, and even came in 1st in my age group (V45).  Overall, it was a fantastic weekend for me, and I'm ready to take a couple of weeks off for my surgery and post op recovery.”

We wish Monika well in her recovery!
