This week’s report includes the Inter Counties U13 race in Walton, speedy runs at the Watford Harriers Open Meeting and the Sri Chimnoy 10K in Battersea.

Watford Harriers Open Graded Meetings, 7th August
There were some speedy runs at the Watford Harriers Open Graded Meeting this week. Artie Feeny Willings set a new PB at the 800m (2:21.91), whilst Christopher Gracie and Sion Lewis set PBs at the 3000m (8:56.81 and 9:10.79 respectively). Finally Adrian Day accomplished his mission of going faster (counting in seconds) in the 400m than the speed given by his age in years.

Sri Chimnoy Green Space 10K, Battersea, 3rd August
A few Heathsiders ran in the Battersea Green Space 10K last Saturday. All ran wek, with Jonathan Hilling leading Heathsiders home in 33:05 and Rebecca Bunting finishing in 2ndplace in in 35:48.

Orion Harriers Forest 5, 3rd August
Sue Eedle continued in her welcome comeback to running following a series of injuries, running in the final of the Orion Harriers Forest 5 series. This is a friendly and well-organised series of three 5 mile races over the hills and trails of Epping Forest and with tea and cake available afterwards. Running hard for a few minutes at a time, interspersed with walking breaks, Sue finished in an impressive time of 48:39, just a minute behind the only other Heathsider present (Emilia).
