Julia and George return with victories plus the Finsbury Park Track gets a spring clean.

Welcome back …….. we’ve certainly missed you.

After what seems an eternity last week saw us return to training and face to face racing rather than the virtual kind. And what a return marathon PB’s and road race victories.

Valentin Valeanu ran a debutant marathon and George Gurney finished 1st in the Olympic Park 10 km while Julia Bijl was 1st woman at the Kempton Racecourse 10km.

On the track Thomas Archer took part in the B-race at the Comeback 5,000m's at Battersea Park on Wednesday 31st March the first event after the end of lockdown.

There are a range of Open Meetings organised for those who feel ready to test themselves competitively. The season will look somewhat different with many events postponed until after the June removal of the last lockdown restrictions.. Heathsiders were also busy getting ready for the return to action with Dave Walton arranging a volunteer day to get the track ready for the return to action. (Photos Below). Thank you to everyone who spared their Saturday morning to help out it really made a difference.
