Quality runs in Harrow, Stratford, Battersea and elsewhere

It was a week for quality over quantity, with relatively few races, but quality performances. The highlights include the 8th fastest performance over 200m in the UK by a UG13 from Suraya Frost, an enormous 10K PB by Evangelista Divetain (36:35), and speedy runs over 5K and 10K in various races around London.

“At Run through, Battersea Evangelista Divetain produced a big 10k PB running 36:35 to finish 2nd women behind former Heathsider Julia Bijl who is now running in the colours of Belgrave Harriers.”

RunThrough Olympic Park, Stratford, 12.5.21
Several Heathsiders travelled to Stratford to ran in the Run Through 5K or 10K last Wednesday.  Kieran Morris had a great run to finish 3rd in the 10k, whilst George Gurney led the field home in the 5k in a speedy 15:32.  Meanwhile Lily Woolcock came second in the women’s race in 18:52 and Tony Killilea came first V50. The times were particularly impressive, given that some Garman readings suggested that the course may have been slightly more than 5K.
