U17 Beckford races into the top 20 400m ranks

Lily Beckford clocked a sub-60 second 400m on Wednesday to move into the top 20 UK rankings for her age group. Knocking 2.65s off her previous PB she ran 59.68s to win her race at the Watford Graded Open. That time places her at number 19 in the U17 400m rankings.

The Wednesday evening open meets at Watford are normally well frequented by Heathsiders, but this week the only other club member who appears to have raced was V60 David Spencer, who ran a season's best in the 800m - this ranks him 14th in the UK in his age group.
