Milton Keynes Marathon/Half Marathon, Milton Keynes, 2.5.22

Filipe Cardoso reports:- “A few Heathsiders ventured out to Milton Keynes on the bank holiday Monday to take part in either the marathon or the half marathon. The races start on the avenue next to the MK Dons stadium, which is not easy to get to on public transport and got heavily congested on the way back if you were driving. The weather was mild and perfect for running. The marathon route is scenic, going through parks and next to lakes. Unfortunately, it is not ideal for a PB, at least for me, with endless sharp turns, bridges and underpasses. The finish is memorable though, as you enter the stadium and lap the football pitch.”
