Brentwood, Dorney Lake, Hillingdon half marathons, and the Orion 15

The weekend saw Heathsiders at several half marathons around the country, with some excellent results.  Notable performances this weekend are podium finishes from Mark Anderson at Dorney (third place with a 77min17sec PB) and David Hellard at Richmond, and a 10k PB from Alex Weatherhill at the Eastleigh 10k.  

There were surprisingly few Heathsiders at the Brentwood Half, possibly because the race filled up so quickly, but many chose the newer Hillingdon Half instead.  Laura Boothman and Sarah Illingworth ran the Hyde Park 20 mile marathon preparation run, and although Laura's time appears unrecorded I hear they were pleased with their runs here.  

In Epping Forest a brave few conquered the uniquely gruelling Orion 15 with podium finishes from Karen and Caroline.  Caroline describes this race as much loved, tough, with relentless energy-sapping hills.  I am told it is all worthwhile with hot showers and Bucks Fizz at the finish.  

In warmer climes, though not as warm as they perhaps hoped, Barbara and Steve enjoyed the Club La Santa 10k and 5k respectively.  
At the time of writing we have had no parkrun results, so apologies for any of you who ran on Saturday.
