Miles of Smiles

More actual physical racing took place at the weekend.

Andy Law took part in the North Downs Way 100 miles race finishing the 7th V40M with a time just over 24 hours despite the brutal heat. 230 started the race but only 107 completed it. He described the experience as “A true sufferfest”

As part of a series of pilot races Chelmsford AC hosted a series of Mile races around a lake at Writtle University College. Strict rules were observed with specific times to pick up numbers and to race.

A total of 4 Heathsiders took part with Tony Killilea the 4th V50, Highgate’s Alexander Lepretre was 1st recording a time of 4:29.3.
