London Heathside were again the leading team in the 2nd SAL North East London Division match at Mile End on Sunday, However the 250 points was not enough to improve the Club’s overall score of 280 pts. After two of the four rounds now complete the Club have slipped from 33rd to 42nd of the 92 Clubs taking part.

Read MoreAnother busy week with Heathside helping host the Golden Stage Mile at our Finsbury Park track on Saturday, with Seyfu Jamaal taking third spot while Angela Pollitzer and Julia Kelk broke Club Age Group Records. Brogan Wallace, Julia Woolcock and Simon Schupbach were in 800m action at the Linford Christie Stadium. There were a host of excelent performanced at the Vet League meeting in Stevenage. Michael Kennedy came 8th in a 12-hour endurance race in Crawley and Marco Serena came third in a 10k at Queen Elizabeth Park.
Read MoreThe big event this week was the MYAL #3 held at Parliament Hill on Saturday, where Heathside came 1st with the Juniors winning 5 of the 8 age groups and 3 new club records were made. There was also success at the BFTTA Open, with great results for all and Amara Odegberin coming 1st in the 800m. Over at Lee Valley, Trey Corlis shone at the ESAA where he won the Hurdles in a new PB and Club record of 12s as well as setting a new PB in the Shot and 800m.

Seyfu claimed silver in the Southern 5,000m with George Gurney 5th. At a hot Battersea Park Trey Corlis (JB 100m) and Imani Quamina (JG 75mH) both claimed gold with Magdeline Paitoo (JG 200m) silver. Thomas Archer was in 1500m action at Watford. Andrew Jones set a new Club best in the V55 400m. Jo Irwin recorded an Age Group win in the sprint triathlon at Eton Dorney.
