After trawling through the billions of results on Power of 10, I could see no Heathsiders taking part in anything that week. Everyone was either still recovering from the Xmas bash or they were busy preparing for the festivities and buying their Xmas gifts on Amazon.

Read MoreThe main event this week was the SEAA Masters and Inter-counties cross-country championship in Hospath, which saw many great performances. There were also some excellent performances at the Lee Valley Minithon and PBs in several road races.
Read MoreThe “raging torrent” running through the middle of the Met League course at Uxbridge on Saturday was undoubtedly the highlight of the running weekend. But in addition to the excitement of the river there were many excellent results at Uxbridge and elsewhere as you'll see in this bumper race report. At the Met league the women’s team was first, and there were first individual places in the under 13 boys - Spike Blake, and under 11 boys - Benji Bediako. Other weekend highlights include the Sunday League, Valencia marathon (a pb for Jo McKeown), Last Friday of the Month, the Perivale 5 and more.

Read MoreSunday brought part two of the weekend’s cross-country fest, with 47 Heathsiders (21 ladies and 26 men) braving the cold weather to run in Trent Park in the second race in the Sunday league cross-country. Seventeen of them had run the day before in the Met league, making their performance in the tough conditions all the more impressive.
