Another busy weekend of cross country running this time over the rolling hills of Trent Park although Brogan and Oliver competed in the Euro XC Trials in Liverpool. Elsewhere Heathsiders were busy with road races and the club hosted a Photofinish Officials course at Finsbury Park.

Read MoreThere was an amazing turn-out of 116 Heathsiders for the second Met League race of the season on Saturday, Lenny completed the 4th and final leg of the Centurion 50 mile Grand slam in Wendover Woods and Battersea Half had some impressive results.
Read MoreThere was individual and team success at the North of the Thames XC championships, with wins for Seyfu Jamaal and the Men’s team respectively, plus a top ten for Brogan Wallace at Scottish National short course champs. In addition there was a win at the Young Athletes League for Sam Turner and a second place for Hattie Munday . Elsewhere a couple of marathons took place In New York and Nice in unseasonable warm conditions

Unfortunately we only managed two full teams with the Senior race marred by poor marshalling which appears a feature of SEAA events lately. There were also impressive times at the Chicago Marathon, and closer to home at the Ridgeway 15K trail run
Read MoreThe main event was the London Marathon, with Heathsiders led home by Tom Aldred and Olivia Desborough respectively, amongst several other quality runs. The mini marathon also took place the day before. Away from Central London, there were Heathsiders participating at Wales’s biggest race, the Cardiff Half Marathon, and the cross country season got off to a fairly low key start at Dagenham.
