Middlesex Virtual Races

January saw over 30 Juniors take part in the Middlesex AA Virtual races.

There were age group wins for Eric Beale (U13B), Amy Kirk (U13G) and Alice Metcalf (U15G) while Cailtin Roberts (U11G) was 2nd and Zephan Agbim (U11B) 3rd. The club won the U11 Girls, U13 Boys and Girls races and were 2nd in the U11 Boys race.

Virtual Racing Returns

While obviously there is no normal racing there have been some National Virtual Races with London Heathside finishing the 52nd Club in the EA Virtual Road Relays just missing out on qualification for the 2nd round and Madeleine Minson 11th VW50 in the British Masters Virtual Race. Thomas Archer has also been inducted onto the EA Youth Talent Program.

Eric Beale's fine performance in the ATW Cross Country

Unfortunately this will be the last report to include real racing action this year with the BeFit Open on Sunday 20th cancelled however the second ATW XC Race at Merchant Taylors School did take place for Juniors on Saturday. Eric Beale ran a fine race over a challenging course and high quality field to secure 17th place in the U13 Boys Race.

Archer number one in UK in 1500

News that our own Tom Archer has been ranked No 1 in the UK this year for the u17 1500m with an astonishing 3:51:57 performance. Big congratulations to Thomas, and also to his dedicated coach Kabir Kemp. Also the latest musical offering from the Clubs Social Distanced Singers. Heathsiders are multi-talented.
