County Title triumph for Heathside at Middlesex XC Championships

On the familiar home terrain of Hampstead Heath, the club celebrated an immensely successful Middlesex Championships, at both team and individual level. Of particular note were the Senior Men’s team ( for the first time since 1984 ), and the U13 Girls team winning their respective Team competition. There were also individual medals for Thomas Archer, Seyfu Jamaal, Hattie Munday ,and Koppany Szentes, plus several other team medal winning performances. In addition the Chingford League continued with a fixture at Epping Forest.

Seyfu breaks Club record for 5 miles at Battersea, Malakai breaks 4 club records in Pentathlon at Lee Valley

The snow and freezing conditions for most of last week and this past weekend meant many events were cancelled. But despite it all, Seyfu broke the club record for 5 miles, coming 7th place in the Battersea Under Lights Christmas 5 mile race on Friday and Malakai set 4 new club records in the Pentathlon and won a silver medal at Lee Valley at the weekend!

SEAA Inter Counties XC & Lee Valley track

A much shorter than usual report this week, due to a lack of major club cross country events or road races, and luckily the action at the Southern Counties XC took place before the arrival of winter snows on Sunday. There were also good performances in the sprints from our junior athletes at Lee Valley, and a Winter Ultra race
