The main events this week were the North London cross-country championships in Hackney Marshes, in which the Heathside women and men finished in second place and the Sunday league cross-country race in Watford. In addition, Karina Kaufmann was crowned GB duathlon champion.

Read MoreThe Winter Season started in sweltering hot conditions with the traditional Middlesex Young Athletes Road Relays which is also the first chance for silverwear and our young athletes delivered with 4 team medals including Gold for the U15 Boys and Girls. There were first County vests for Suraya, Elkie and Malakai at the South of England Inter-Counties Championships. The Club helped host the inaugural London Masters Championships at our home track. There were also big track PB’s and great performances on the road.

First, he broke the club 5,000m record in a time of 13:58; then, four days later, he broke the club half marathon record at the Big Half in a time of 1:03:34. Meanwhile Noelle O’Regan won gold for Ireland in the V35 400m in the British Masters’ Athletics championships in a time of 63.93, a second ahead of the second placed athlete.
