Medals were collected across the board in a variety of events at the Middlesex County championships. Elsewhere the Heathside women’s team triumphed at the Southern Counties Vets League, with the men in second place. We had 3 participants at the Night of the 10000m at Parliament Hill, and Rebecca Bunting set a course record at the Oak Hill parkrun

Read MoreRoad racing took centre stage again with the Vitality 10,000m snaking it’s way through Central London it also acted as a British Road Race Champs with our awesome ladies continuing their exploits from the winter taking 3rd place. There were also Heathsiders competing on the roads at Milton Keynes, Battersea and Hyde Park. On the track great performances and new PBs were set at at Harrow, Dagenham Wormwood Scrubs and Battersea again. In the states Liam Garrett set new PB’s in the 1500m.

We are coming near the end of XC events, but it was good to see 11 Heathsiders running in Loughborough at the BMC xc Challenge final and also Pete flying the flag as the lone Heathsider at the British Masters XC championship in Tonbridge. There was also the Inter area Masters champs at Lee Valley, Half Marathons at Paddock Wood, Milton Keynes and Victoria Park and a 5k at Victoria Park.
